Irvine Coalition for Energy Management

Community Partnerships: Irvine Coalition for Energy Management

The Irvine Coalition for Energy Management (ICEM) builds upon the existing partnerships between the City of Irvine, Southern California Edison, and The Energy Coalition. The project goal is to increase Irvine’s participation in demand response programs and to better integrate energy efficiency and demand response offerings for the commercial sector.

The project will focus on increasing demand response participation in commercial buildings that have a load of between 200 and 500 kilowats (KW) of electricity. To achieve this goal, the ICEM project will rely on the City’s leadership to promote participation by enrolling its own municipal buildings in the programs and sharing its experiences.
