The Energy Coalition’s Educational Partnerships facilitate collaboration between students, teachers, parents, utilities, and the greater community to provide energy education instilling an ethic of smart energy stewardship and fostering long-term energy savings. The Coalition currently partners with utilities and school districts across California, Illinois, and Sweden, to provide educational curricula, resources, materials, and professional development for educators, school facility audits, and special events.
The Coalition’s capstone educational partnership program is PEAK, a comprehensive, standards-based curriculum designed to empower elementary and middle school students with the knowledge to manage energy use in their homes, schools, and communities.
In addition to PEAK, The Energy Coalition and Southern California Edison have joined together for PEAK Plus, a unique research study measuring the effects of education and price incentives on household energy usage.
Our educational partnership team in the United States has been working with teachers and school administrators in Sweden on their PEAK program which is a comprehensive environmental sustainability curriculum.
