Peak Bay Area
PEAK Bay Area is an initiative between The Energy Coalition and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). Started in 2006, the PEAK Bay Area pilot program reaches out to 15,000 fourth through seventh grade students at approximately 40 schools throughout the San Francisco/Bay Area. In addition to the PEAK curriculum, toolkits and school fundraising opportunities offered. PEAK Bay Area provides Saving Energy @ School audits and incentives toward increasing energy efficiency at school facilities.
PEAK Bay Area is currently recruiting schools throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. School selection will be based on geographic diversity and community demographics, willingness to involve school district facility personnel, a strong and involved on-site point of contact, and an interest in instructing students in service learning, science and environmental education.
