The Energy Coalition’s commitment to working with utilities to develop innovative energy efficiency and demand response projects sets it apart. The key to this commitment is fostering partnerships between utilities and the communities they serve.
Building strong relationships between utilities, communities and end-users is essential to establishing a population of proactive smart energy managers. Because the production of energy is unlike any other commodity, traditional utility/customer relationships must be expanded with responsibilities shared to efficiently and sustainably manage our energy resources.
The Energy Coalition strives to shed the stereotypical thinking of both end-users and utilities by developing mutually beneficial demonstration projects which reinforce positive relationships, protect our environment, and create energy savings. The Energy Coalition is currently partnering with each of California’s investor-owned utilities on a variety of projects. Although each project is different, they share the unifying goals of creating positive relationships, achieving energy savings, protecting our environment, and fostering a more energy-conscious and informed public.
