Marc Costa


Marc has more than eight years of experience in the building industry focusing on areas ranging from economic and workforce development to higher education engagement and  whole-portfolio energy management strategies. He focuses on local government efforts including retrofit management, building permitting, policy, and software tools to streamline energy efficiency processes.  He holds a B.S. in Management Science from UCSD and a B.S. in Construction Engineering from CSULB. He is also a LEED AP, CGBP and BOC Level II.  In addition, he is secretary of the Pacific Regional Committee of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and also is a National Chair for USGBC’s Center for Green Schools.  In 2014 he served as a judge at the Department of Energy’s Case Competition for city energy management solutions.
