Craig Perkins provides leadership, oversight, and strategic input at TEC for all contracts, programs, and policy work. Prior to joining TEC in 2008, he was Director of Environmental and Public Works Management for the City of Santa Monica, where he served for 25 years. Craig has extensive experience designing and implementing energy programs and policies that involve outreach strategies to key participant groups, including the creation of regional energy networks, the Bassett Avocado Advanced Energy Community project, and the launch of California’s first Sustainable City Plan. Craig has also played a key leadership role in shaping various California regulatory policies. Craig holds a B.A. in sociology from UC Berkeley, and Master’s degrees in political science and Latin American studies from UCLA and in public administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
