Hanna Buechi_EN

Hanna is a Senior Project Coordinator in TEC’s Oakland office. Born and raised in the East Bay, she is passionate about bringing clean energy system change to her hometown through education, advocacy, and relationship-building. At TEC, she supports a diverse range of educators in implementing clean energy lessons with their students, and leads the team’s data-tracking and analysis efforts. Before coming to TEC, she was a research analyst with The Nature Conservancy’s Great Plains Renewable Energy Institute and UCSB’s Environmental Market Solutions Lab, as well as working as a cook and baker. She graduated with a Master’s from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UC Santa Barbara in 2019, where she managed a group capstone project on wildlife and wind energy expansion in the American midwest, tutored international Masters’ students in science writing, and created a board game with the California Academy of Sciences to make learning about the California electricity grid fun. She is excited to use both her technical and communication skills to reimagine how we use and produce energy right now. Outside of work, she is always riding her bike, making ceramics, and nerding out about the ocean.
