Through dynamic, standards-based STEM curriculum, professional development and hands-on activities, TEC empowers students with the knowledge and skills to manage energy and water use in their homes, schools, and communities now and in their futures. TEC’s K-12 energy education programs engage students in pro-environmental behaviors while connecting them to real world green career professionals and college and career pathways.
TEC collaborates with environmentally-minded communities throughout California to bring new opportunities to teachers, students, and the public. We leverage a vast expanse of relationships throughout district offices, County Offices of Education, educational resource centers, science and environmental education networks, and community program providers to reach as many educators as possible.
The Challenge
Educators often do not have the resources available to incorporate energy and environmental lessons into students’ curriculum. TEC’s Energy is Everything programming provides the curriculum resources, materials, online professional development, and virtual learning communities to help educators increase their skills when teaching science, build student STEM skills, and introduce students to green career pathways. Our comprehensive, customizable, standards-based, peer-reviewed programming is designed to fit educator and student needs from early childhood through the academic and career pipeline to the workforce.
Our Strategy
With our partners, we’ve created a variety of customized offerings and services through the Energy is Everything program, including PEAK Student Energy Actions, KWickbooks High, Climate Leaders in Action, UCI teachers training, Water Goals and other exciting products.
Using customized tools, stringent evaluation, and measurement and verification processes to measure and analyze behavior, Energy is Everything seamlessly integrates into traditional and non-traditional classrooms.

TEC’s Energy is Everything programming yields measurable environmental results while helping students to understand new career and educational options. Energy is Everything increases access to well-paying, growing green career fields, particularly for those that are classified as disadvantaged, hard-to-reach, high-risk or underserved.
