TEC Partners with Electriq on the PoweredUp Network

Nearly 400,000 San Gabriel Valley residents will be eligible for solar + battery storage systems with zero upfront cost

At TEC, we believe in making connections to create a clean energy future together. We work with community-based organizations, regional energy networks, community choice aggregators, technology companies, and more to achieve our vision of affordable and accessible clean energy for all.

We’re proud to announce our newest partnership with one such company: Electriq Power. We’re helping Electriq to bring their Sustainable Community Network (SCN) program to the San Gabriel Valley area, where we are also creating the Bassett Avocado Heights Advanced Energy Community

Through the partnership, Electriq will offer solar + battery storage systems to qualifying homeowners at zero upfront cost. There are no income, credit, or property lien requirements, which will make reliable clean energy more accessible for low-to-moderate income residents. The systems can also lower electricity costs up to 20% and provide backup power during power outages.

“Our vision is to make reliable, affordable, clean energy available to everyone, regardless of means, and our partners share this view, which is why our programs are rapidly growing,” said Frank Magnotti, CEO of Electriq Power. “We’re making systems affordable and partnering with organizations like TEC to show consumers that we’re here to help make a difference.”

Check out Electriq’s press release about our partnership, then find out if there’s a Sustainability Community Network coming to your town!
