TEC Selected for West Hollywood Community Engagement & Policy Development Project

Alongside partners, TEC will help the City of West Hollywood to develop new building performance standards and policies

TEC has worked with the City of West Hollywood for a long time helping them to make their buildings more energy efficient. Now, we are proud to announce a new project to help West Hollywood reach their ambitious climate goals.

In WeHo’s Climate Action Plan, they set out to create a more sustainable and equitable West Hollywood by making buildings more efficient and resilient. West Hollywood has selected TEC, along with our partners Arup and Ari Simon, to help them achieve their goals. We will be working with the city and our partners to create a new city ordinance that will require buildings to improve their energy use, engaging the community every step of the way. Together, we will make sure those who are most in need get help improving their building performance.

West Hollywood is blazing a trail that the whole state will soon follow, as Senate Bill 48 will require a similar standard statewide in the future. We are excited to help West Hollywood develop an equitable building performance standard that makes buildings cheaper and healthier places to live, work, and play.
