Felicia Federico joins TEC as Director of Funding & Research
The Energy Coalition is proud to announce the hiring of Felicia Federico as our new Director of Funding and Research.
Felicia comes to The Energy Coalition with over 30 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary science and engineering projects and grants. Her expertise is focused on energy, water, environmental justice, and ecosystem protection research. She most recently served as Executive Director of the California Center for Sustainable Communities, Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at UCLA, where she collaborated with TEC on several projects, including the Bassett Avocado Heights Advanced Energy Community.
In her new role, Felicia will bring her deep energy industry, grant acquisition management, and research expertise to secure energy funding opportunities in partnership with public sector organizations to design and deliver decarbonization programs and services. She will play a critical role in identifying funding opportunities, establishing partnerships, and developing projects. Furthermore, she will help TEC share lessons learned and implementation challenges across our portfolio of programs by drafting publications and interfacing with academic research partners.

Felicia holds a Doctorate in Environmental Science and Engineering from UCLA, a Master of Arts in Physical Geography from UCLA, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
